Walter Crane (1845 – 1915) was an internationally renowned illustrator and artist in the late 19th Century and early 20th with a clearly recognisable style.
He was an associate of William Morris, and part of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Much of Walter Crane's work was illustrating children’s books but he was an active radical socialist, a member of the Socialist League and Fabian Society, and produced many pictures supporting the international socialist and anarchist movements, notably cartoons printed in Justice, Commonweal and The Clarion.
Most years from the mid 1880s onwards he would create a May Day Greeting to the workers - which would be published in the socialist press.

Our posters are either digitally cleaned up to remove tears or stains etc, or completely recreated to be as close as possible to the original.
These are digitally cleaned up prints.
Each poster is printed on good quality 170gm poster paper.
The size is A3 (approximately 297mm by 420mm).
The postcards are A6 size and are made of 350gm postcard board
The fridge magnet is made of a strong magnetic material, coated with plastic and are approximately 95mm by 69mm.
