Resist to Exist Radical Suncatcher
Resist to Exist, 1980s - the graphic used is from a poster originally by Lazaro Abreu of the Organización de Solidaridad con los Pueblos de Asia, África y América Latina (OSPAAAL), 1974 based on a photograph taken during a prison uprising at New York's Queens House of Detention in 1970.

The 1980s and 90s in the UK were the time of Thatcher, mass unemployment, the Printers and Miners Strikes, and Poll Tax Rebellion.
Culturally, supported by a benefits system that allowed creative talent to bloom (and cheap transport), there was an explosion of music, alternative comedy, cooperatives and community theatre.
Campaigns around the Miners Strike and the opposition to the Poll Tax in particular drove a spirit of solidarity and class consciousness throughout communities across the country.
Concurrently, new technologies, for example the launch of the first AppleMac, with its 6 inch screen and Pagemaker software, enabled a new method of design in posters and campaigning posters burgeoned.
We have reproduced some of those posters - posters we saw on many peoples' walls at the time.
The Radical Poster Collective is dedicated to making good quality classic radical posters available at an affordable price.
Our designs are either digitally cleaned up to remove tears or stains etc, or completely recreated to be as close as possible to the original.
Our Radical Suncatchers are made of clear plastic, printed with increased colour intensity to create vibrant colours as daylight shines through.
The suncatchers are A5 size (approximately 148mm by 210mm), with a 10mm clear strip across the top.
The suncatcher comes with a plastic sucker to fix it to the window, leaving no residue if you decide to move it.
All of our suncatcher designs are also available as A3 posters.
Please note that there may be some variation in the colour of the on-screen image and the actual item received.
This is subject to the brightness and contrast of your screen settings etc.
All suncatchers are dispatched securely wrapped in tissue, in cardboard boxes to protect them.
For non-UK orders, any customs duties are to be paid by the buyer.
