Day of Solidarity with the People of Venezuela November 21 by Faustino Pérez, published by Organización de Solidaridad de los Pueblos de Asia, África y América Latina (OSPAAAL), Cuba, 1967

OSPAAAL was established in 1966 in Cuba with the purpose of fighting globalisation, imperialism and neoliberalism and defending human rights. The membership was made up of post-colonial nations, national liberation movements, Eastern bloc countries and China.

The objectives of OSPAAAL included: aid to national liberation movements (in particular to the Palestinian movement), intensification of violent and peaceful struggles on all three continents, support to the Cuban Revolution, suppression of foreign military bases, support of the nuclear disarmament option, and opposition to apartheid and racial segregation.

OSPAAAL became known for producing eye catching posters, usually in four languages (Spanish, English, French and Arabic) which were distributed internationally, stapled into copies of its journal Tricontinental.

“The poster was the response to a fundamental aim: that of supporting the struggle of the freedom movements” - Olivio Martínez, OSPAAAL artist.

The first poster distributed was 'Create, two, three...many Vietnams' by Alfrédo Rostgaard in 1967.

Workers and peasants worldwide confront shared struggles, primarily exploitation by capitalist forces. Internationalism is not just a choice but a fundamental necessity for any truly radical movement.

Capitalism operates on a global scale, with capitalists pitting populations against one another, shifting production to wherever costs are lowest. This system drives the super-exploitation of natural resources and people in poorer nations, exacerbating the devastating effects of climate change. As a result, millions are left with harrowing choices: face mass starvation or flee their homes in search of survival.

In the face of these challenges, international solidarity is essential. To inspire and unite, we have gathered a collection of radical posters from across the globe, reflecting the shared fight against oppression and inequality.

The Radical Poster Collective is dedicated to making good quality classic radical posters available at an affordable price.

Our posters are either digitally cleaned up to remove tears or stains etc, or completely recreated to be as close as possible to the original.

We do not have printed copies of this poster. It is just exhibited on our website.
