Born in Argentina in 1928, Che Guevara took part in the revolution in Cuba and supported revolutionary and anti-colonial movements and armed resistance across Africa and South America, until murdered by the CIA in Bolivia.
As a young man Che travelled throughout South America, where he witnessed misery and deprivation as a result of capitalist exploitation, particularly by US companies such as the United Fruit Company, supported by US Government covert and military intervention. In 1955 he met Fidel and Raúl Castro in Mexico, joined their 26th of July Movement and sailed with them on the Granma to Cuba in November 1956, where a two-year guerilla campaign led to the successful Cuban Revolution.
Che took a key role in the Cuban Revolutionary Government, including in organising military defence. From 1965 Che was travelling in Africa and South America supporting guerilla movements. In 1967 he was captured in Bolivia by CIA backed military where he was summarily executed and in the following days his body was put on display.

This poster is our redesign of a classic image of Che Guevara taken by Alberto Korda.
