Aixafem el Feixisme
Let's Crush Fascism by Pere Català i Pic, 1936
Pere Català i Pic was born in 1889. He took an interest in photography and technical progress, having won a camera in a work lottery. He was self taught, and he travelled in Europe to see the work of other avant garde photographers. After the proclamation of the Republic in 1931 he worked in advertising, developing an interest in the psychology of advertising. After the war he was unable to restart work until 1941. He died in Barcelona in 1971.
One of Pere Català i Pic's adverts - for the Juncosa chocolate shop in Barcelona, 1933.
